Beginning July 2022, the Ritz Theater begins a year-long celebration marking its 100th Anniversary of entertaining the community.
We have lots of exciting plans that include a
* Big name and highly popular entertainment
* Birthday Movie Series featuring two free family movie days
* Cheers to 100 Year Formal Gala
* History timeline display
* Lecture series
* A mural unveiling on Second Street
* And more!
Oral history stories collected from the community will share the important impact this historical treasure has had on our region.
There are many ways to participate, and we look forward to you joining in on the celebration.

We’re turning 100 and ready to celebrate.
Our story is a community story. We invite you to share your personal recollections and experiences about visiting the Ritz Theater to be included in our Ritz Theater Oral History Project.
Maybe you grew up watching films here, were inspired by a musical performance, have a special memory, or maybe our theater was the first time you were on stage, we’d love for you to tell us all about it.
We are collecting stories all year long to include in a 100-year history book. To help us kick this party off with a bang, early story submissions may be selected to be showcased on our website and be a part of our video history project. We will continue to collect and share community stories throughout the year…so keep your stories coming.
