Youth Summer Camp

Ritz Theater Youth Summer Camp Registration

Junior Camp is at FULL capacity, and we’ll no longer be accepting applications. The JUNIOR CAMP will be held June 27 through July 1, 2022, from 9am to 2pm. The Junior Camp includes instruction to learn and perform several theatrical songs.

The SENIOR CAMP will be held weekdays, from July 11 to 29, 2022 from 9am to 3pm (with a live production of Legally Blonde on the 29th). We encourage registration by June 18. The Senior Camp includes instruction of theater art skills, musical instruction, terminology, an understanding of on stage and backstage roles, and the completion of approx. 60-minute live audience performance.

Junior Musical Theater Camp: full capacity

Package Overview

  • Target Camper Age: Graduated Grades 1-5
  • This elementary musical theater camp introduces your child to theater basics
  • They will learn songs and dances from several different musicals
  • All students get a camp t-shirt
  • Final showcase performance is Friday, July 1 at 2PM. Entrance is $5.

Senior Musical Theater Camp

Package Overview

  • Target Camper Age: Graduated Grades 6-12
  • Students will work together to produce the musical play Legally Blonde, Jr. 
  • Students will learn the process all the way from auditions, to rehearsals, technical assistance, and final performance on July 29.
  • All students get a camp t-shirt. 
  • Public show takes place Friday, July 29 at 7:30PM. Addition is $10.

Please visit our office within 7 days after registration at 201 S. Magnolia Ave., Sanford Office Hours: Monday through Friday 9:30am to 5:30pm.

Children should arrive each day wearing comfortable clothing and movable shoes (no flipflops or sandals) so the camper can move and dance with ease. We ask that parents provide a packed lunch that includes plenty of water. No microwave is available.

Please note that after care is NOT available.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

This application is for families residing in “Seminole County” who wish to be considered for a scholarship to subsidize the tuition cost for either the Junior or Senior Camps.

To qualify, the student must live in Seminole County and qualify based on the Florida Income Eligibility Guidelines used by the Seminole County Public School System. Scholarships are awarded on a first come-first serve basis. Limited funding is available.

Frequently Asked Questions:

If you are applying for more than one child, please submit a different application for each in your household.

Once you submit your application, you will be notified of scholarship status no later than 45 days before the first day of camp or within 7 days if your application was submitted within 44 days of camp starting.

Scholarship funds are provided through funding provided by Helpful Hands, Inc., Sanford Porch Fest, and anonymous individuals.
